I began my career in ceramics, having studied art and design at Farnham
School of Art, now the West Surrey College of Art and Design. In 1967 I
changed my interest to making jewellery - and since becoming a member of
the Guild of Hampshire and Berkshire Craftsmen in 1985 I have regularly
exhibited with them. This is in addition to exhibitions at other venues in
galleries and at craft fairs in Southern England.
Working by hand in gold, silver, precious and semi precious stones my
designs are balanced but not symmetrical, therefore giving a more
interesting focus. Swirls of wires also bring lightness to the pieces
however large.
I specialise in private commissions and like to discuss my clients
needs and preferences before presenting my designs for approval, as it is
my aim to delight the wearer of my jewellery.
