I use calligraphy in both formal and expressive ways, choosing traditional or experimental letterforms to create a mood to suit the words. As well as 2-dimensional pieces I make 'concertina' and single section small books. I have a graphic design training. I recently completed the Advanced Training Scheme of the Society of Scribes & Illuminators (S.S.I.) and am an SSI approved tutor. Recent work has been featured in 'Calligraphy Step-by Step' by Gaynor Goffe and 'Creative Calligraphy' by Diana Hardy Wilson.
